K&G was formed in Alabama in 2008 by its two principals who had a combined total of over 55 years of refractory service and material experience. In 2009, K&G’s Fort Worth, TX facility was opened. In 2011, the Farmington, Maine facility was opened, and in 2012, operations began out of its Winter Haven, FL office.  In January 2017, K&G acquired renowned pulp & paper refractory company Refra-Chem Linings, Inc. in order to expand and service more pulp and paper plants throughout the Southeast United States. All field and operational employees of Refra-Chem joined the K&G Industrial team, and K&G was proud to integrate Refra-Chem Linings’ 20 year success story, workforce, and expertise in order to continue the company’s mutual devotion to safe, efficient, and economical projects.

K&G’s headquarters is located on a 20 acre facility in Loxley, Alabama. The company has grown from a small regionally based refractory installer to a full service refractory and maintenance company capable of servicing any customer in any location.
